LZUFH Delegation Visits Karolinska Institutet in Sweden for Clinical Research Exchange and Training

        Recently, a delegation from LZUHH, led by Vice President Hou Xiaoming and consisting of 12 key medical and research staff, conducted academic exchanges and training at Sweden's Karolinska Institutet. The program, themed "Clinical Research from a Global Public Health Perspective," aimed to focus on cutting-edge fields, deepen cooperative exchanges, improve the hospital's clinical research system, cultivate talent, enhance clinical research capabilities, and facilitate the production and translation of high-level research findings.


        The team systematically participated in a professional education training course titled "Fundamentals of Clinical Research from a Global Public Health Perspective." Through specialized lectures, case analyses, and academic seminars, they gained in-depth knowledge of advanced concepts and methods in clinical research. During their visit, delegation members also attended doctoral dissertation defenses to understand international academic evaluation systems and pathways for scientific innovation. They engaged in extensive discussions with international peers on topics including the enhancement of medical research and technological innovation capabilities, the translation of scientific research achievements, the improvement of healthcare quality, and international clinical research collaboration.


        Lanzhou University Hospital consistently prioritizes international academic exchange and cooperation. The participants in this training program represented key clinical departments across the hospital, including Oncology, General Surgery, Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Anesthesiology, Geriatrics, Reproductive Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Respiratory Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Clinical Nutrition. This comprehensive departmental coverage reflects the hospital's strategic emphasis on developing multidisciplinary clinical research capabilities.
