The First Hospital of Lanzhou University was Designated as “First INIPC Academy Collaborative Hospit

Professor Li Xun, Vice President of Lanzhou University, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and President of The First Hospital of Lanzhou University, recently received a letter from Professor Hans de Boer, President and Founder of the International Network to Improve Perioperative Care Academy (INIPC Academy) and based at Martini Hospital Groningen, Netherlands. The letter commended the First Hospital of Lanzhou University for successfully hosting the 2025 Lanzhou International Conference on Enhanced Recovery After Diseases (ERAD) and Ambulatory Surgery and highly appreciated the hospitals contributions to advancing enhanced recovery medicine.


In his letter, Professor Hans de Boer praised the conference as a landmark event and extended his sincere thanks to President Li Xun and the team for their warm invitation and excellent organization. He emphasized that the official announcement during the conference, designating The First Hospital of Lanzhou University as the First INIPC Academy Collaborative Hospital in China, marks significant progress in their shared mission to advance global perioperative care and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery/Disease (ERAS/ERAD). Professor Hans de Boer highly recognized President Li Xuns leadership and vision throughout the conference, noting it set an exemplary model for international academic collaboration.

The letter also spoke highly of the important role played by President Li Xuns keynote speech, participation in the main forum panel discussion, and address at the anesthesiology sub-forum in enriching academic dialogue and laying the groundwork for future cooperation. Furthermore, Professor de Boer expressed his anticipation for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), believing this framework will further solidify shared goals and translate collaboration into tangible actions to improve the quality of perioperative care in China and Asia.
