He said that in the past four years, under the strong support of the British-Chinese Society of Health Information (BCSHI), LZUFH, RCSEd and CSHK overcame many difficulties, learning from the advanced concepts and modes of teaching and training of surgeons through online and offline exchanges, introducing the high-quality general surgeon training, assessment and evaluation system, and passing the “General Surgery Training Centre” of RCSEd and CSHK in March this year when it passed the junior and senior final accreditation of RCSEd and CSHK as “Overseas Education Base for General Surgery Specialists”. The successful establishment of the first “Senior General Surgery Training Centre” of RCSEd and CSHK in western China has taken the lead in realizing the standardized training of surgeons, and has promoted the process of international standardization of the training of general surgeons in western China. This achievement could not have been made without the joint efforts and support of all parties, and we are especially grateful to the relevant professionals and institutions for their dedication and efforts. Meanwhile, we also appreciate the active cooperation and participation of the relevant departments of General Surgery of LZUFH.

He hoped that the ceremony would be a milestone of cooperation between the two sides.
Prof. Kent-Man CHU, Chairman of CSHK, said that the cooperation with LZUFH will strongly advance the international development of surgical medical education and training in the western region of China, and hoped that together with various surgical training centers in the mainland of the motherland, we can make positive contributions and efforts in cultivating specialized talents in surgical medicine. LZUFH provides a good working environment and development space for medical personnel, and hopes that young surgeons will continue to enhance their knowledge and skills for the benefit of patients.
