On February 13, Li Xun, president of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University (LZUFH), and Mr. Christian Taube, managing director of University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) Consult und Management GmbH (UCM), and Ms. Carmen Rother, senior consultant of UCM, carried out 2023 online cooperation meeting. Meng Wenbo, vice president of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, the director of Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Department and some directors of relevant departments attended this meeting.

President Li Xun first expressed his gratitude for UCM’s continuous support to the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, and said that Mr. Christian Taube had given wonderful lectures hosted by the First Hospital of Lanzhou University for many times since 2019. President Li Xun hopes that the two sides can continue international cooperation in the future and carry out practical and efficient communication.

Mr. Christian Taube said that UKE is one of the leading hospitals in Europe. It is composed of 14 medical centers and more than 80 interdisciplinary cooperation departments. Its cardiovascular, oncology, neuroscience and other specialties rank among the top in the world. He said that in the future UCM will closely combine with LZUFH and develop in a coordinated manner to jointly carry out international exchanges and promote win-win cooperation between the two sides.

The holding of this meeting has enhanced friendship, laid a solid foundation for practical cooperation between two sides, and played a positive role in promoting the high-quality development between LZUFH and UCM. It is hoped that in the future, both sides can further deepen communication and exchange, develop more cooperation projects, and achieve new achievements in hospital management, talent training, teaching and research, exchange and mutual visits.
