On November 25, 2022, the 34th Deutsche-Chinesische Gesellschaft für Medizin (DCGM) - Chinesisch-Deutsche Gesellschaft für Medizin (CDGM) Joint Annual Meeting was held in Berlin, Germany, and Tongji Hospital, Wuhan, China. The joint annual meeting focused on the development trend and research progress of China and Germany in emergency and trauma medicine, oncology, nursing, hospital management. Professor Li Xun, President of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, was invited to give a lecture.

    Under the title of “Based on Sino-German cooperation - the construction and operation of the International Standardized Trauma Center of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University”, President Li Xun introduced the original intention of the construction of the International Standardized Trauma Center of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, its development process, personnel training and scientific research cooperation, current operation status, future planning and prospects. On the basis of communication and cooperation with well-known trauma treatment centers and teams in Sweden, Japan, the United Kingdom and other countries, in 2019, the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, together with DCGM, Professor Michael Nerlich, the “Father of Trauma Medicine” of Germany and his team, established a “Sino-German Trauma Medicine Association Innovation Center”, jointly carry out talent training, data platform research and development, trauma treatment research and the construction and operation of trauma center.

    Since August 2021, the number of emergency and critical patients treated in the First Hospital of Lanzhou University and the quality control data quality have ranked first in Gansu province for 10 consecutive months on the data platform of China Trauma Rescue Alliance, and among the top 30 (the highest 14) in China, nearly 20000 patients with various types of trauma have been treated efficiently.

During the meeting, President Li Xun, on behalf of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, expressed his gratitude to DCGM, Professor Michael Nerlich and his team, and emphasized that the First Hospital of Lanzhou University would continue to carry out all-round cooperation and exchanges with DCGM in the future, making efforts to further improve the treatment efficiency of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University and the severe trauma patients in Gansu Province.
