LZUFH, ERAS Society and CHUV Jointly Held the Second ERAS TIP Online Seminar

The First Hospital of Lanzhou University (LZUFH), ERAS Society, and Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) jointly held an online seminar on the implementation of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) for liver and pancreas surgery. Prof. Nicolas Demartines, chairman of the ERAS implementation program, Mrs. Valerie Addor, coach of the ERAS implementation program, Christina Chuck, Mr. Jia Lanmin, and Li Xun, the president of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, Meng Wenbo, vice president of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, and members of ERAS training and implementation team attended the meeting.
President Li Xun expressed his gratitude to Prof. Nicolas and his team for their constant help. Director Liu Yatao, on behalf of the ERAS team of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, reported on the progress of ERAS implementation three months after the last video conference. Prof. Nicolas Demartines and Mrs.Valerie Addor answered the questions one by one in the design of the clinical pathway for liver and pancreas. At the same time, the two sides fully discussed the topic of measuring the success of ERAS and formulated the goals, indicators and results for measuring the ERAS implementation results. Finally, the next stage of action plan of LZUFH was discussed and formulated.
At the video conference, the ERAS clinical pathway and supporting implementation plan of liver and pancreas were finally approved, and the ERAS clinical pathway of liver and pancreas will officially be implemented in the whole hospital from July 4.
After the training and clinical practice in the first and second phases, the ERAS team of our hospital successfully completed the phase objectives and has been recognized by the experts of ERAS Society. We also hope that our team will continue to improve the compliance of ERAS practice guidelines and expert consensus, carry out high-quality clinical research, and benefit more patients!
