Recently, the 3rd World Congress of GI Endoscopy, ENDO 2022, was held in Kyoto, Japan, together with the 103rd Congress of the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society, as a result of a fruitful collaboration between WEO and JGES. ENDO 2022 was able to welcome a total number of 9,582 delegates joining online from more than 75 countries.

    Cao Jie from the First Hospital of Lanzhou University contributed her abstract entitled “Effect of PAD on stone composition and biliary tract flora in patients with choledocholithiasis” to the conference and the abstract was selected for oral presentation. At the same time, she was honored to be invited as Chair of one of the ENDO 2022 Oral Abstract Sessions (Session: Oral abstracts: Esophagus, Pancreatobiliary, Stomach and Small Intestine). On behalf of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, she showed the research progress of the General Surgery Department in biliary calculi and microflora on the international platform. Her works would encourage more doctors to become actively involved in clinical and basic science research.
