EICU team of LZUFH Held Academic Exchanges with German Experts

In order to further catch up with the international level of medical technology development and promote treatment level of severe trauma patients in emergency departments in Gansu province, based on previous cooperation, EICU team of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University held academic exchanges with German experts from Bochum University, Essen University and Cologne University Hospital. Li Xun, the president of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, Meng Wenbo, vice president of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, Liu Yatao, director of International Cooperation and Communication Office of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University and other directors from Emergency Departments, ICU, CCU, PICU, NICU, and all medical staff of EICU attended the meeting.
President Li Xun said that EICU is the main treatment unit for severe trauma and acute and critical illness patients in the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, and has successfully treated a large number of patients with severe trauma and severe illness in Gansu province, hoping to further catch up with the latest trends in the development of international advanced critical care medicine and trauma medicine medical technology through this seminar, and continue to carry out in-depth and efficient cooperation with German experts in medical treatment, quality control, hospital infection, scientific research, teaching and other aspects.
Professor Michael Nerlich, president of German-Chinese Society for Medicine (DCGM), said that since 2109, DCGM and the First Hospital of Lanzhou University have carried out all-round cooperation in the development of trauma medicine and established the Sino-German Trauma Innovation Collaboration Center. The exchange between the two sides in emergency and critical care medicine opened another milestone in the cooperation and exchange between DCGM and the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, and also opened up a new field of cooperation and exchange between two sides. DCGM will continue to support the cooperation between the two sides, and the friendship between the two sides will last forever.
During the seminar, Dr. Li Min reported on the admission and treatment of a patient with severe trauma. Professor Waydhas, member of the Executive Committee of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine from Bochum University, commented on the treatment process of this case, and emphasized the precautions in the treatment of trauma patients; Professor Nerlich combined his own experience to put forward questions in case sharing, and Director Liu Liping answered all questions one by one. Dr. Chen Ling reported in detail on the treatment of a rare mitochondrial disease, and the German expert team fully affirmed the treatment of critically ill patients by the EICU team.
Professor Waydhas gave a lecture on the quality control and sensitivity data collection, and shared the latest disease diagnosis and treatment ideas and standards in German critical care medicine.
Both sides hope that this meeting will play a role in promoting the development of the EICU of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University and promote the continuous improvement of the level of treatment of patients with severe and severe trauma in the emergency department in Gansu province.
