2021 International Academic Conference on Enhanced Recovery After Diseases & Ambulatory Surgery

In order to further promote the practice and research of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS), Enhanced Recovery After Diseases (ERAD) and Ambulatory Surgery, the 2021 International Academic Conference on Enhanced Recovery After Diseases & Ambulatory Surgery was hosted by the First Hospital of Lanzhou University on September 11 in Lanzhou, Gansu province. Affected by COVID-19, the conference adopts the joint mode of Online + offline.



Professor Olle Ljungqvist, chairman of ERAS Society, Professor Nicolas Demartines, chairman of the Implementation Promotion Committee of ERAS, experts and scholars from the Central Hospital of Lausanne University, Switzerland. Many ERAS practice leaders, winner of the Friendship Award of the Chinese government in 2018, visiting professor Torben Steen Mogensen of Lanzhou University, Professor Wang Weilin, chairman of ERAS Expert Committee of National Health Commission, Professor Yu Buwei, president of anesthesiologist branch of Chinese Medical Association, Professor Pei Fuxing, deputy leader of orthopedic expert group of ERAS Expert Committee of National Health Commission, and other more than 60 ERAS/ERAD and Ambulatory Surgery practice and research experts attended the meeting. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhou Wence, vice president of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University.




Following the principle of Multi-disciplinary Treatment (MDT) in ERAS/ERAD practice, the conference set up a special session centered on diseases (systems/organs), focusing on the implementation of ERAS/ERAD in hepato-biliary-pancreatic/ gastrointestinal surgery, orthopedics, gynecology and thoracic surgery. Experts in surgery, anesthesia, nursing nutrition, rehabilitation and hospital management discussed and exchanged the latest progress, successful models and experiences of ERAS and ERAD in MDT mode, As well as the special session of ambulatory surgery to communicate around the norms of ambulatory surgery.
