On August 10, 2021, Visiting Professor of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University (LZUFH), President of the German-Chinese Society for Medicine, President of the German Society of Orthopaedics and Trauma, Prof. Michael Nerlich of Universität Regensburg (UR) Medical Faculty, and Prof. Christian Waydhas of Bochum University, conducted online exchange with trauma team members of LZUFH.

    On behalf of LZUFH, Deputy Dean Wang Wenji, also Director of the Trauma Center, extended gratitude to Prof. Nerlich and other German experts for their support and assistance in the construction of Trauma Center, and expressed the intention of further cooperation in the treatment of severe trauma patients. Subsequently, Han Xingwen, Director of Trauma Surgery, introduced the current work progress to the German experts. Finally, specific issues in the treatment of severe trauma patients were discussed through case reports and simulation exercises.

    The German expert group, especially Prof. Nerlich, highly appreciated the efforts made by LZUFH in the construction and development of Trauma Center in the past six months. At the same time, he also provided practical suggestions on the operation and management of Trauma Surgery, improvement of trauma treatment capabilities as well as quality control of trauma treatment.
