Trauma team of FHLU conducts online academic exchange with German specialist

On March 25, 2021, at the invitation of Li Xun, Dean of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University (FHLU), Prof. Michael Nerlich, Visiting Professor of FHLU, President of the German-Chinese Society for Medicine and the German Society of Orthopaedics conducted profound and fruitful academic exchange with trauma team on the current work of the Trauma Center and further cooperation plans. The trauma team members, led by Vice President Wang Wenji, also Director of the Trauma Center, participated the meeting.
On behalf of FHLU, Prof. Li Xun expressed sincere gratitude to Prof. Michael Nerlich and other German experts for their support in the construction of the Trauma Center, and proposed to promote the further cooperation in the construction of five major centers and emergency medical rescue base. Prof. Nerlich expressed his support for expanding the scope of cooperation and put forward the idea of working together with great endeavor to build FHLU into the second Chinese-German friendship hospital. Thereafter, Liu Yatao, Deputy Director of the Trauma Center, made a report on the current work progress of the Trauma Center, including the layout of Trauma Care Unit, the rehearsal of severe trauma patient treatment, the application for emergency medical rescue base, and the use of trauma registration software and smart wristbands. Prof. Nerlich highly appreciated the efforts made by FHLU to promote the construction of the Trauma Center in the past three months, and gave constructive suggestions for the later development of the Trauma Center.
