On August 15, 2020, the first training base of ITLS in Gansu Province settled down in the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, followed by the ITLS course being introduced to 32 physicians from various trauma centers, with the common objective of providing optimal care to seriously injured patients. 

    During this training course, Pro. Michael Nerlich, visiting professor of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University as well as chief expert of German-Chinese innovation center for trauma medicine, was invited to introduce the pee-hospital care in Germany via video meeting. In the presentation, German trauma network--Trauma Netzwerk DGU® served as a basis for high-quality patient care as well as the cooperation and communication among various hospitals, leading to remarkable decrease in the mortality of seriously injured patients. He also mentioned the past and the future of German trauma care system, which could be a reference to the construction of Gansu trauma network and the direction for Gansu trauma center in China.

    During the pandemic, we did not stop the work of the trauma center or any training. In the future, there will be more training online, and more people will benefit from it.
