The First School of Clinical Medicine: Caring for left-behind children of Kongtong District

    On July 3, 29 teachers and students from the First School of Clinical Medicine, Lanzhou University went to Guangming Primary School in Huasuo Town, Kongtong District to carry out activities of caring for left-behind children. A total of more than 100 people from various levels of administrative departments and left-behind children’s representatives participated in the event.

    Yang Yongxiu, Executive Dean of the School, introduced the background and significance of the event and extended heartfelt wish to the students. The First School of Clinical Medicine donated school supplies to 119 left-behind students from 9 schools who participated in the pairing activities of “Growing together with good partners” in Kongtong District.

    After the donation, Wang Jun, a member of the sixth batch of medical teams in Gansu Province who supported Wuhan, shared the story of fighting against COVID-19 during the epidemic; Fu Xiaoyan and Shen Dongqin of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University introduced the seven-step washing methods and pupil’s healthy diet; the teachers from Clinical Skills Center taught first aid and conducted exercises for teachers and students.
