Time flies. I have been learning at Baylor college of Medicine in Houston for about four months. Baylor College of Medicine is one of the few schools in the United States that has invested billions of dollars in research funding. In the USNEWS National Medical School Rankings, Baylor College of Medicine ranks tenth in the United States in medical research projects, eleventh in clinical treatment, and twentieth in doctoral programs. Among the top 10 organizations in the United States, four of them are Baylor College of Medicine, Duke University, University of California, San Francisco, and the University of Washington respectively. The scientific research of Baylor College of Medicine covers developmental biology, cell biology, cardiovascular disease, and stem cell.

    As one of the best medical schools, you will meet many world’s top professors, doctors, as well as researchers. One thing is particularly worthy of proud: the number of Chinese doctors and researchers become larger and larger, proving that the excellence of Chinese scholars as well as the strong support of our motherland for each student.

    In conversation with these professors and doctors, they frequently talked about China, and China’s development and its impact on the world.    They want to know more about China as well as Chinese medicine. At the same time, I have felt that with the support of the motherland, Chinese doctors and scholars have gradually changed from the previous model of “leaning from western countries” to the model of “searching for cooperation and win-win”. As a Chinese doctor is a proud thing. As a famous Chinese astronaut Yang Liwei once said, “no matter where you stand, you must have a motherland in your heart.”
