On January 31st, the international journal Radiology (IF 7.608) published the academic research on the CT characteristics of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), which was conducted by a research team from the First Hospital of Lanzhou University. The academic result was simultaneously pushed to radiologists globally to focus on CT imaging findings of novel coronavirus pneumonia.

    Dean Li Xun, the leader of the 2019-nCoV Scientific Research Panel is playing a leading role in conducting the comprehensive research centered on epidemic characteristics, including rapid diagnosis technology, diagnosis and treatment mode, TCM prevention and treatment, prevention and control system as well as infection control guideline establishment, disinfection and waste treatment.

    It is reported that Professor Qi Xiaolong, Lei Junqiang and his radiology team will carry out scientific research around “prevention and control system construction on a major public health event based on intelligent imaging technology”, collaborating closely with front-line medical workers to develop early screening, early quarantine, early diagnosis and treatment of the 2019-nCoV.
