From Dec. 9th to 13th, 2019, Dr. Zhang Guoqiang from the Department of Pharmacy of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University has attended the 34th Annual Meeting of Japanese Society for the Study of Xenobiotics in Tuskuba, Japan and gave an academic report at the conference on the morning of December 10th. The conference has invited many experts from different countries to highlight the newest findings in quantitative elucidation of pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics by integrating pathophysiology-based modeling and bio-mimetic engineering with the purpose of exchanging ideas and bringing together research scientists, academics, industry specialists, doctors, pharmacists and students of life sciences.

    At the conference, Dr. Zhang gave a speech about “Pyridoxal isonicotinoyl hydrazine (PIH), an isoniazid-vitamin B6 adduct, may be responsible for isoniazid-induced cholestatic liver injury in rats via inhibition of FXR”, which is mainly associated with his studies guided by Prof. Wu Xin’an.
