A Cooperation Agreement signed between LZUFH and UKR

    Recently, Dean Li Xun, Vice President Wang Wenji and other five experts of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University (LZUFH)were invited to visit the University Hospital Regensburg (UKR) in Germany for academic exchanges.

   

The Trauma Center of the University Hospital Regensburg is the founding unit of German first three-level referral trauma center, trauma treatment network and trauma registration system. The founder of the Trauma Center, Professor Micheal Nerlich, is hailed as “the father of German Traumatology.” In the past six months, as a Guest Professor of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, he has guided and helped our Hospital gradually establish a trauma center meeting international standard, creating a scientific regional trauma treatment system in Gansu Province. During the visit, the staff of our hospital visited the Trauma Center of German hospital and gained the knowledge of German pre-hospital emergency system for the treatment of severe trauma patients. Besides, combined with real cases, we have conducted in-depth discussion with foreign experts on the treatment process, time node, teamwork and quality control of severe trauma patients.

    What’s more, the Hospital served as the diagnosis and research center of tumor, complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, organ transplantation, stem cell and tumor immunotherapy of German Eastern Bavarian. Therefore, the delegates conducted academic exchanges with the leaders of these research centers on clinical diagnosis and treatment, research direction and progress, and reached a consensus on the follow-up cooperation between the two parties.

    After the visit, Dean Li Xun signed the Cooperation Agreement with Medical Director Prof. O. Kölbl, witnessed by Dean of the Medical Faculty Regensburg, Prof. D. Hellwing as well as Vice President of the University Hospital Regensburg Prof. N. Korber. The two parties will conduct extensive and in-depth academic cooperation and personnel training in the future on clinical and scientific research in various fields such as trauma medicine, hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, cancer, hospital management and medical quality control.
