LZUFH signs a cooperation agreement with UNIL and CHUV

    Recently, Dean Li Xun and other experts of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University (LZUFH) were invited to visit Université de Lausanne (UNIL) and Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) in Switzerland to conduct an academic exchange on the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, clinical practice and research of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) as well as the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases.


 

    At the Cancer Research Center of the University of Lausanne, Professor Li Xun conducted profound discussion and reached consensus on the issues of the joint training of medical talents, scientific research collaboration and student exchange as well as other in-depth cooperation in various aspects with Professor Nouria Hernandez, representative of the President University of Lausanne, Professor Jean-Daniel Tissot, Dean of the School of Biology and Medicine, Mr. Marc Pilloud, Director of the International Department of the University and Professor Nicolas Demartines, Chairman of the International ERAS Society Promotion Committee. After communication, the two parties signed a cooperation agreement.

 

    Then Professor Li Xun and other experts visited the newly established Cancer Research Center and immunotherapy ward as well as the hospital research laboratory. As a high-level research platform, the Cancer Research Center is currently conducting extensive and in-depth research and cooperation with many well-known cancer research institutes both in Switzerland and Europe within the field of cancer immunotherapy and cancer prevention and treatment networks. At the newly established immunotherapy ward, the two sides exchanged opinions on cancer patients, immune function regulation and immunotherapy of seriously infected patients. And at the research laboratory, the related experts conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the main directions and progress of the current medical research and the follow-up cooperation between the two parties.
