From October 6 to 9, 2019, the 28th Annual Congress of the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE) was held in Thessaloniki, Greece, and the associated professor from the Department of Gynaecology of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University was invited to deliver a speech on a surgical video entitled “Laparoscopic Para-aortic Lymphadenectomy” at the general meeting, receiving wide recognition from the European Gynecologist.

     The endoscopy technology of Gynecological Department of our hospital is in a leading level and the gynecological team has repeatedly performed academic exchanges, surgical video demonstrations, and live broadcasts on the National Endoscopic Conference and won the First Prize of National Surgical Video Contest. Whereas this is the first time for gynecologists in our province to deliver a speech at the ESGE conference. Through attending the congress, we have showed the gynaecological achievements of China in recent years to the whole world, and further enhanced the international exchange on this area.

    Ever since the foundation of the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE) in 1994, it has aimed to encourage the exchange of clinical experience, scientific research ideas among European gynaecological endoscopists and practitioners in related techniques. Now it has become the largest association of gynecological endoscopy in Europe.
