On September 29, 2019, with the purpose of further promoting the development of anesthesiology, day surgery and ERAS in our hospital, invited by Dean Li Xun, a well-known European specialist in Fast Track Surgery, winner of the Chinese Government Friendship Award, Mr. Torben Steen Mogensen, visited our hospital and provided many instructional suggestions on many respects in relation to the ERAS development.

    During the visit, professor Torben Mogensen firstly visited Anesthesia Department, observing surgery and patients at the operating room and discussing with medical staff on the key issues of perioperative multi-mode acute pain management, prevention and treatment of perioperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) as well as minimally-invasive surgery. And then professor Torben Mogensen participated in teaching rounds, shared his opinions and exchanged ideas with experts and medical staffs in the Day Surgery Ward, Thoracic Surgery, Orthopedics, the Fifth Department of General Surgery and so on.

    With specific guidance and strong support of professor Torben Mogensen and other foreign experts, we have made some improvement that benefits a large number of patients, and we will continue to make unremitting efforts to do better in the future!

    At the same time, Ms Hanne Flindt Hasling shared her experience and communicated with nurses of our hospitals on the topic of how to raise English proficiency for non-native English speakers.
